Shawn McGowan, Scribe’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading the company’s growth and expansion. Prior to joining Scribe Shawn held the roles of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operations Officer for Newmarket International, Inc., the market leader in hospitality sales and service software. Shawn led a group of exceptional team members that envisioned and delivered mission critical software to customers in over 150 countries. While building these hospitality specific applications he had the opportunity to work with or connect to all of the major integration platforms and is looking forward to taking a few of the lessons learned and applying them to the Scribe platform.

Prior to joining Newmarket, Shawn held senior positions at ManagedOps.com, Elderhostel, Inc. and The Taylor Group.

Shawn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Plymouth State College with postgraduate studies in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University

In his spare time, Shawn and his family head to the mountains for skiing, biking and hiking. Shawn additionally is passionate about the role of non-profits in the New Hampshire and works closely with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire.

Jordy Almgren is a 13 year Microsoft sales and business leader who is currently responsible for Microsoft’s Cloud Productivity portfolio across USA, Latin America and Canada.  This team is comprised of Microsoft’s top sales resources with deep specialization in Cloud and online offerings from Microsoft. Additionally, Jordy is responsible for the Americas Compete team comprised of both Google, Salesforce and Cisco compete resources. The technology portfolio consists of 0365, Lync, CRM Online and Project Online. With budget responsibilities exceeding $2.5 Billion in new business and a team of specialized sellers and technical resources, Jordy’s scope is overall leadership and priority execution with the team, online partnerships and executive customer relationships across the Americas.

During Jordy’s 13-year career with Microsoft, he most recently led the WW Communications team with focus on Lync and Skype. Previous roles have included Managing Director for Microsoft New Zealand’s Enterprise business with significant O365 customer wins as his team led the journey to the cloud. Prior to New Zealand, he was located in Singapore as APAC Head of Business and Sales Operations where Jordy’s role was responsible for over $1.2 Billion in revenue, and responsibility for all sales operations across the region. These efforts included world class selling, rhythm of the business, P&L management, sales team staffing and customer/partner satisfaction. Prior to joining APAC, Jordy was Northeast Director for the healthcare business where he excelled at driving strong revenue and people development outcomes in Microsoft’s New England market.

Conan additionally specializes in analytics and reporting. He has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry with a strong background across multiple industry sectors.

At Microsoft, Conan is responsible for data driven productivity – US east region. In this role, He is responsible for ensuring Customers realize the full value of Microsoft’s cloud capabilities, with focus on Power BI and Delve Analytics.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Conan was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley, responsible for the Information Lifecycle Management program. During his successful tenure, he designed and helped employ the processes, systems and cross domain reporting that manage Records of the Firm from creation and classification through to eventual disposition.

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Conan was a director at Orchestria software, and held the position of chief Technical Architect for both the service division of London Underground and Accenture’s solution center before that.

He has been promoting SCRIBE as the ultimate data integration configuration tool for Dynamics CRM and Salesforce for over 10 years.

Syed has served at the worldwide Dynamics communities CRMUG as a member of the board of advisors and currently serving as the chairman of the Dynamics Communities AXUG Dallas Chapter. He has also served as a member of the Dynamics CRM Customer Advisory board at Microsoft Corp.

Syed strongly believes that there is no panacea for a business solution and it takes more than one solution to increase productivity at any level at any successful organization. Kevin has been working with Scribe since 2006, specializing in connecting systems with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Frequently Asked Questions
What airport is closest to the conference venue?

Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) are the most convenient airports to use to get to Portsmouth, NH.  Most people will find the best rates and flight times by flying into Boston’s Logan International Airport.  If you fly into Boston, you should plan to rent a car to drive the 55 miles to Portsmouth. What about accommodation?

Why should I attend?

The Scribe User Conference is a unique opportunity to upgrade your personal skills and/or enhance your company’s ability to integrate key systems. This is the largest gathering of Scribe users and gives you great access to the most knowledgeable and skilled Scribe users in the world.

Will I need transportation once I get to the conference venue?

You will only need transportation to get to/from the airport.  You can easily walk around downtown Portsmouth to experience the city and its attractions.  If you want to explore the surrounding area before or after the conference, however, you may want to rent a car.  Portsmouth is a good jumping off point though to enjoy the Massachusetts and Maine coastlines and cities.

Why should I register now?

By registering early you will be able to take advantage of discounted registration fees and pre-conference training/certification.  Space is limited for our training/certification classes and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please see the Fees section of this website for current discounts.

How do I reserve my spot in the pre-conference training/certification?

When you start the registration process for the 2016 User Conference, you will be asked if you want to reserve a spot in one of the training/certification courses (space permitting).
