MANCHESTER, NH – April 16, 2016 – Scribe Software, a global data integration leader, today announced the availability of a new Microsoft Dynamics NAV Connector for Scribe Online, the company’s agile integration platform as a service (iPaaS). The new connector allows business analysts, consultants, software developers, and IT professionals to quickly create highly customized and rich integrations for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution that will provide sales, marketing, service, finance, and other staff members with information they need to reduce costs, increase revenue or improve customer service.
The new connector simplifies the task of integrating Microsoft Dynamics NAV with other enterprise systems, empowering enterprises, SaaS providers, and systems integrators to better use financial, order, and other ERP-based information throughout their organizations and within their other enterprise applications. With the Microsoft Dynamics NAV connector, organizations can create real-time synchronization and workflows between NAV and other cloud services or on-premises systems, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems, sales and marketing applications, data quality services, data warehouses, and legacy databases. The connector is available in the Scribe Online marketplace, and supports integration for NAV 2015 and 2016 on premises and in the cloud.

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV connector for Scribe Online is built on the Open Data Protocol (OData) on which Microsoft is standardizing, eliminating the “Black Box” approach of older connectors. With the connector, OData is configurable from within NAV under the Web Services menu, enabling Scribe Online customers and partners to:
- Improve business processes by exposing customer data from NAV, such as invoice data, order status and credit ratings, in applications used by sales and service teams;
- Improve data qualify and consistency by synchronizing customer and sales data between NAV and other systems in real-time;
- Allow for two-tier ERP deployments.
The connector offers key capabilities including the ability to expose any Dynamics NAV entries to create, read, update and delete (CRUD) records; expose custom fields in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, making them accessible to the integration; expose standard and custom entity and query objects; support optimistic concurrency (OCC) with entity tags (Etags); support multi-company environments; and support batch operations.
