Scribe Appoints John Joseph as Vice President of Marketing
Seasoned Marketing Leader to Help Accelerate Sales Growth, Market Expansion, and Awareness of the Company’s Data Integration Platform as a Service Offering
Manchester, N.H. – November 12, 2014 – Data integration company Scribe Software today announced the addition of 15-year technology marketing veteran John Joseph to its leadership team as vice president of marketing. Joseph will spearhead the strategic direction and execution of Scribe’s marketing plan to continue the company’s rapid growth and to shape the evolution of the integration platform as a service (iPaaS) market.
“Scribe has emerged as a leader in the integration platform as a service scene. The company’s long history of providing customers deep, business-critical integration technology combined with an innovative new cloud platform has allowed us to see strong traction in the market,” noted Shawn McGowan, CEO of Scribe. “We’re in a period of high growth for our Scribe Online platform, and John’s hands-on approach and history of software marketing success will help our customers, partners and prospects take full advantage of this powerful platform.”
Joseph will focus on broadening market visibility for Scribe and the Scribe Online iPaaS platform, as well as attracting more software vendors, partners and enterprises. Thus far in 2014, the company has added eight new Scribe Online independent software vendor (ISV) and system integrator (SI) platform partners to embed or pre-package integration using the iPaaS platform, putting the company on track for another record-breaking year.
A proven enterprise software marketing leader, Joseph brings to the Scribe executive team his experience helping companies rapidly scale marketing efforts to disrupt established industries. Most recently, he served as the vice president of product marketing for Lavastorm Analytics, a leading agile data management and analytics software company. At Lavastorm, Joseph managed the global marketing organization and helped drive the company’s entrance and growth in the emerging self-service data integration and analytics market. Prior to joining Lavastorm, he served as the director of product marketing for Endeca, where he helped establish the company as an innovator in the business intelligence world. Joseph has also served in a number of senior marketing and product management roles for breakthrough products including integrated healthcare networks, data integration and business process management platforms, communications services, secure document delivery and storage, and speech recognition software. Joseph started his technology career as an engineer at IBM and The MITRE Corporation.
“Data integration, especially integration of cloud and SaaS-based applications, is a critical hurdle for enterprises to scale if they are to become leaders in their industries. Scribe has already proven through more than 12,000 customers and its iPaaS offering that effective data integration doesn’t have to be cumbersome, code-intensive and expensive anymore,” said Joseph. “I look forward to leading Scribe’s marketing team as we focus on empowering partners and customers to easily connect critical business applications.”
Joseph earned a master’s degree in business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from MIT.
