Last year, HubSpot introduced OAuth 2.0 to their API, replacing the older OAuth 1.0 method. Beginning in August 2017, HubSpot will no longer support the older method of authenticating with their API. Because of this, we are releasing a updated HubSpot connector to take advantage of the new OAuth protocol.
This new enhancement means that, if you have an existing HubSpot connection, you will need to re-authenticate with the newer OAuth 2.0 protocol in order to keep your integrations running by the end of the year. Please check out our Success Community for detailed directions on how to do this. Any new HubSpot connection will be made using the new protocol so will not have any issue moving forward.
Even though HubSpot is keeping OAuth 1.0 available for existing connections for a short time, the sooner you can re-authenticate the better. Its a very quick and painless process and will check this item off your list and keep your integrations up and running.
If you have any questions or concerns about this change please do not hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to walk you through what is changing and how you can ensure a zero interruption to your integrations.
