Using the Scribe Online Microsoft Dynamics GP connector, you’ll have various entities exposed needed to create a Sales Order process integration, however, not everyone who needs integration with Great Plains has a CRM system for SOP, is on GP 2013 or 2015, or only has integrations within the entities the connector exposes. I’ve created this post to explain how you can extend integration to Dynamics GP using eConnect in Scribe Online IS.
eConnect is a collection of components and interfaces that allow applications like Scribe to interact programmatically with Dynamics GP. Part of this collection are SQL Server Stored Procedures (SPROCs), which Scribe Online can interact with using the SQL Server Connector. These SPROCs will go out and create, update, or delete data from the GP Company, as well as carry out the appropriate business logic.
So in short, you can use these SPROCs as an API to your GP integration in Scribe Online!
In this podcast, Mark and I will talk about the planning of your integration using the MSDN resources on eConnect, how to connect to your company database with the SQL Server connector, building those maps with Execute blocks, as well as mapping and troubleshooting tips!
