Position Description:
Scribe Software is looking for a talented and experienced channel marketing manager to join our marketing team and develop the programs, tools, and plans to drive partner and end-user demand for our renowned data integration platforms. In this high-profile role you will work collaboratively with the US Sales, Product Marketing, and Product Management teams, to create, manage, and optimize marketing assets and campaigns that will increase sales through our vibrant channel of more than 1,200 VARs and systems integrators and develop new channel relationships in several rapidly growing market segments. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can generate high-impact ideas and manage the execution of those ideas all the way to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the US Sales team to understand sales priorities; develop and execute end-to-end integrated channel marketing plans in support of key sales objectives. These should include awareness/consideration, enablement and lead generation activities.
  • Ensure flawless execution of all elements of the marketing plans, including events, webinars, email programs, social media initiatives, online advertising, content syndication, web promotion, and more.
  • Collaborate with the US Sales team, product marketing, and product teams to plan relevant content and messaging needed to engage channel partners and prospects through our marketing programs. Content will include customer and partner newsletters, eBooks, infographics, white papers, and more. Work with internal and external creative team members to manage the production of content.
  • Develop and manage co-marketing programs with channel partners, including Scribe-developed marketing programs that can be executed across the ecosystem, and manage MDF/coop accruals.
  • Measure, analyze and report on campaign performance and provide strategic direction and guidance based on analysis of results.
  • Manage the US marketing budget and ensure that spending stays within specified limits.
  • Represent Scribe Software at industry events, webinars, and other corporate events.

Experience, Education, Skill and Behavior Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years marketing experience at a software company, SaaS company
  • Strong integrated marketing skills with experience managing regional and national partner marketing programs and campaigns
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, able to prioritize and manage through ambiguity and achieve strong results through impact & influence
  • Ability to distill complex business and technology strategies to compelling messaging across various marketing materials across variety of audiences

Development Engineer for Level 3 (L3) Support

Position Type: Entry-level, Fulltime

We are looking for candidates who love to code and troubleshoot issues, are passionate about technology and are looking to be key players on our team that is continuing to develop our cloud offering (Scribe Online) and on-premise (Scribe Insight) platforms.

Position Description:
The Development Engineer for Level 3 (L3) Support will be responsible for resolving customer issues escalated from our support department to our engineering team. This position requires frequent and direct contact with our customers via telephone and online sessions to diagnose and reproduce their issues. Strong troubleshooting skills are a must; as well as the ability to debug software at the code level in a number of languages and environments; and a well-rounded knowledge of Scribe’s products and technologies to successfully understand and resolve these issues. The successful candidate will be a self-directed, process-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills, who is eager to develop new skills while evolving existing strengths. This is an entry level development position ideal for hungry engineers looking for an opportunity to build their skillset and move on to other areas of software development within the company. This engineer will initially report to the manager of the SQA/L3 Support Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the end-user customer and collaboratively with Scribe support and engineering teams to diagnose, debug and resolve escalated customer issues
  • Ensure that issues are properly understood and reproduced, identifying any reasonable workarounds if possible to immediately mitigate these issues
  • Triage issues for product management, consulting, or engineering resolution
  • Execute software hotfix/patch release cycles when appropriate. Also assist in other product releases as needed.
  • Track and report metrics to identify trends in customer issues across product lines
  • Build a knowledge of Scribe’s products and technologies
  • Assist in streamlining overall L3 support procedures

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of and/or some familiarity with software development life cycles
  • Experience and/or some familiarity with diagnosing and testing front-end and back-end components of client/server or web-based products; also using a variety of toolsets, utilities, and scripts
  • Experience and/or some familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or other database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle or DB2
  • Good troubleshooting skills in the Windows environment including knowledge of Active Directory, networking, security, ODBC
  • Good component debugging and troubleshooting skills in the Windows / .Net environment using C# and C++
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to speak, write, and communicate in English
  • Good “people-skills” working in high pressure technical situations
  • Self-directed and process-oriented
  • Desire to learn new things
  • Positive Attitude

Other Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge and/or experience with SaaS-based products, web/cloud-based technologies, web services, and/or Microsoft .NET-based products that utilize WCF, Silverlight, XML and similar technologies.

Pre-Sales Engineers

Position Type: Full time

Position Description: This is a hands-on position reporting to the Regional Sales Director. The primary objective of this position is to provide expert technical pre-sales support for Scribe’s East or West Region sales team, Scribe’s partners, and Scribe’s customers. Responsibilities include providing knowledge transfer through pre-sales and post-sales technical support, the development of technical sales materials, training, and technical consulting.
The ideal candidate should have the combined technical skills and communication skills to effectively communicate about Scribe’s products with both technical and business audiences. The ideal candidate should also project energy and enthusiasm for Scribe’s products.Responsibilities:

    • Work directly with partners and prospective customers to answer their questions about Scribe’s products and to recommend integration design.
    • Create and present product presentations, demonstrations, and lead Q&A sessions.
    • Develop proof of concept solutions as directed by the Scribe’s Sales team.
    • Create product demonstration materials and presentations to be used by Scribe’s partners and by Scribe’s sales team to close new business and strategically position Scribe’s product in the market.
    • Deliver presentations at industry and partner events.
    • Position Scribe’s products relative to competitors from both the business and technical perspectives.
    • Development and updating of technical collateral. This may include:
      • Multi-media sales tools (e.g.; Power Point, video presentations, etc.)
      • Product positioning
      • Competitive positioning
      • Project tools
      • Provide onsite training and consulting as required.
      • This position could involve travelling up to 6-8 times per year. The travel will typically be domestic but could also include international travel.

Skills and Experience:

      • Strong oral and written communication skills
      • Experience representing technical products in a sales process
      • Experience with data integration and/or migration between business applications required
      • Training, consulting or technical support experience with mid-market CRM, Marketing, or ERP applications

SQA Engineer – Core/Platform

The SQA Engineer will be responsible for the quality assurance testing of Scribe’s products which are built on Microsoft’s .Net platform and utilizing agile development processes & methodologies. This position will work closely with Scribe’s software engineers and product managers to validate new/existing features and certify the production-readiness of our product. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, innovative, and self-motivated individual who is eager to develop new skills while evolving existing strengths. The focus of this SQA Engineer will be on white/gray-box testing and/or API testing as well as diagnosing, troubleshooting, and testing back-end components with respect to system performance, stability, reliability, and failure issues/scenarios. This is a middle to senior-level position reporting to the manager of the SQA Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop white box/gray box strategies and establishing toolsets needed for back-end testing and troubleshooting
  • Develop, document, and maintain test plans and scripts
  • Execute test cycles defined for each product release milestone
  • Track and report quality metrics for every release project
  • Assist in managing QA environment and test beds
  • Work with the engineering team to enhance the testability of the product, including development and execution of new and/or existing automated tests
  • Participate in product specification and documentation reviews
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues from customer support and other internal departments

Skills and Experience:
Candidates must possess the following skills:

  • Solid knowledge of software development life cycles and configuration management
  • Solid experience in testing back-end components of cloud-based and/or client/server products.
  • Solid SQL querying and database skills with Microsoft SQL Server or other database technologies.
  • Experience in white/gray-box testing and/or API testing
  • Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and testing back-end components with respect to system performance, stability, reliability, and failure issues/scenarios
