Business Development Director

Position Description

The Business Development Director (BDD) reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for driving the growth of Scribe's fast growing iPaaS platform that is uniquely designed for ISV and SI partners to power integration solution offerings for their customers. The BDD will be based in the Silicon Valley and will direct Scribe's overall operations in this key market.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit targeted ISV and SI partners to build and promote Solutions and Connectors on the Scribe Online Integration platform.
  • Direct the ongoing relationship with these platform partners with an emphasis on bringing products to market and driving customer traction.
  • Develop partnership plans with platform partners and work with the partner to deliver on these plans.
  • Work closely with the Platform enablement team to drive the technical and go to market activities with the partner necessary to achieving the product sell-through goals of the partnership.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of Scribe's office in Silicon Valley.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven (7) years' experience forming highly successful business partnerships in the software industry. It is highly desirable that the candidate has experience and relationships in the Cloud computing space. Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience and success targeting strategically desirable companies and forming meaningful business partnerships with them.
  • Demonstrated experience and success building and growing successful strategic partnerships.
  • Extensive personal relationships in the CRM, Marketing Automation, ERP, and Cloud computing technology industry within Silicon Valley.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Adaptability to a fast paced environment and able to quickly understand facts and assumptions and recommend and implement future courses of action.

The Adapter Engineer reports to the Development Manager and is responsible for the continuing design, development and maintenance of Scribe’s products. Scribe’s products are built on Microsoft’s .Net platform utilizing agile development processes and methods. The successful candidate will be a self-directed, process-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the development team to design and build world class products
  • Design, code, unit test and maintain Scribe’s products using Visual Studio and C#
  • Work with QA to develop and maintain test plans and enhance the testability
  • Work with Technical Communications to develop product documentation
  • Research new technologies that impact Scribe’s products or application space
  • Maintain a current knowledge of industry tools, trends and technology
  • Be a key contributor to all efforts of the development team

Required Skills:
Candidates must possess the following skills:

  • Strong component development and debugging skills in the Windows / .NET environment using C#
  • Experience with unit testing using tools such as MSTest, NUnit or MBUnit

Pre-Sales Engineer, Team Lead

Position Type: Full time
Reports to: Vice President, Sales
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with experience

Position Description
The Pre-Sales Engineer Team Lead is a "player-coach" position reporting to the Vice President, Sales. The primary objective of this position is to provide expert technical pre-sales support for Scribe's US East and US West Region sales team, Scribe's partners, and Scribe's customers, as well as provide leadership to the pre-sales team members in the US and EMEA regions. Responsibilities include providing knowledge transfer through pre-sales technical support, the development of technical sales materials – including blogposts, podcasts, battle cards, and elevating the level of the pre-sales team and the value provided to the sales organization.

The ideal candidate should have the combined technical, presentation, and sales skills to effectively communicate Scribe's products with both technical and business audiences, while projecting energy and enthusiasm for Scribe's products. The candidate should also have the experience and capacity to provide solid mentoring and leadership to the team of pre-sales engineers.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Work directly with Scribe sales team members, partners and prospective customers to answer their questions about Scribe's products and to recommend integration design.
  • Create and present product presentations, demonstrations, and lead Q&A sessions.
  • Develop proof of concept solutions as directed by the Scribe's Sales team.
  • Create innovative and creative product demonstration materials and presentations to be used by Scribe's partners and by Scribe's sales team to close new business and strategically position Scribe's product in the market.
  • Deliver presentations at industry and partner events.
  • Position Scribe's products relative to competitors from both the business and technical perspectives.
  • Development and updating of technical collateral. This may include:
    • Multi-media sales tools (e.g.; Power Point, video presentations, etc.)
    • Product positioning
    • Competitive positioning
    • Project tools
  • Provide onsite technical assistance to prospects or partners as required.
  • This position could involve travelling up to 6-8 times per year. The travel will typically be in North America, but could also include Europe.

Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience representing technical products in a sales process.
  • Experience with data integration and/or migration between ‘business’ applications required.
  • Training, consulting or technical support experience with mid-market CRM, Marketing Automation, or ERP applications.
  • Training, consulting or technical support experience with mid-market or enterprise data migration and integration applications or toolkits a plus – preferably Scribe, Pervasive, Informatica, or Cast Iron.
  • Strong relational database skills with the leading databases including Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Experience with XML, message queues, and Web Services are a plus.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills with applications for Microsoft Windows.

Education

  • BA/BS Degree in computer or business related course of study.
  • Computer and software certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities
